Opportunities for College Students
URJ Biennial 2019 Ambassadors
The URJ Biennial is the largest religious conference in North American Jewish life. Thousands of educators, directors, and clergy will join together in Chicago this December to envision, share, and celebrate individual and movement wide challenges and accomplishments. The success of Biennial largely depend on a group of passionate and smart Reform Jewish college students to serve as Ambassadors! From helping to run registration, checking attendees into learning sessions, organizing program supplies, customer service and more, Biennial Ambassadors are responsible for making this inspiring event come to life.
Accessibility at URJ Biennial
We strive to make the URJ Biennial accessible to and inclusive of all attendees. The Biennial Inclusion Director is available at Biennial@URJ.org to address your inclusion and accessibility-related questions and needs.
We will have the CART captioning system and Loop available at all the plenary and large worship sessions. All presenters are being required to use microphones.
All of the plenary proceedings are going to be displayed on a very large screen for optimal viewing. Large print prayer books will be available.
There will be reserved seats through out the plenary/worship space for those who need accessibility accommodations.
All the breakout sessions will have reserved seats at the front of the room for those who need a closer view or to hear better.
All of the Biennial hotels are ADA compliant. Requests for accessible rooms or specific room locations (ie: near the elevator) should be made directly to your hotel.
For those who will need to rent a scooter for getting around Biennial, we are working with the company Scootaround. Visit the URJ BIennial page on their site for more information or call them at 1-888-441-7575 to discuss their scooter rental options.
